Hotel in Wellington
We had a wonderful stay at Ibis Wellington. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in an excellent central location, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the check-in process was quick and easy. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable night's stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Wellington.
Hotel was lovely, the ladies on reception made it so easy to check in and explained everything. The gentlemen who greeted us at the restaurant was amazing and can make a.preety good margarita. Housekeeping were also great so friendly with a great sense of humor. Everything was walking distance so we didnt have to use our car once.
Perfectly adequate and reasonably priced (booked through Air NZ). Excellent location. Fantastic water pressure in the shower, however I’m very glad I’m not even the slightest bit overweight; the shower was tiny! No hand towels provided. Nice clean bedding and towels. The air conditioning/heating was SO noisy, even on the quietest setting. TV noise, sneezing, and loud yawning could be heard from the adjoining room. Thank goodness I had ear plugs.
Walls are paperthin. no phones in room so hard to contact reception. Simple tasks like "could I have an extra towel in my room please" took an hour to action. Location is central, and rooms were cheap. You get what you pay for.
We had our 3rd flight cancelled in as many days and every hotel was taking full advantage. We paid at least double the rate of what the price was in the days leading up to our booking. On top of that we had a room next to a cleaner chemical room and an electrical cupboard. The toilet cistern continually let water out. We could regularly hear water hammer from pipes above or to the side of our room, possibly from a washing machine. Window was tiny with little natural light. I would have been disappointed if I had paid the normal price.
