This store has got a genuinely fantastic range, but I have a few notes that people, especially those new to collecting vintage/designer items should keep in mind. I am primarily a Vivienne Westwood collector, so I'll be using that for examples. 1. Most items are being sold significantly above market value. Example, the basic VW T-shirts are generally purchasable secondhand from the UK (via proxy) for a total of $40-$100 including international postage, at H&C, they're most commonly sold for around $200-$250. 2. I cannot speak for other brands as I'm not as knowledgeable, but their Vivienne Westwood jewelry pieces may need better authentication. I spotted two fake pieces, one of which was particularly surprising as the box was a blatant fake (New season blue crystal orb earrings, earrings themselves were fake too as shown by the lack of precision in the cross section of the orb). I'm shocked it got through authentication at all as fake Vivienne boxes are by far the easiest thing to catch at a first glance. It's worth noting that VW jewelry can be some of the hardest items to authenticate due to the mass amounts of high-quality fakes. 3. Some of the rarer VW pieces are reasonably well-priced, I would recommend them.
