A wee adventure finding the nondescript entrance and heading up the stairs. What awaits is a lovely, cosy bar that makes you feel you've stepped into a bygone era. Our party of four grabbed the corner couches, big old leather, snug and dimly lit. Staff were great and explained some oc tge cocktails especially the ingredients as dome were very potent. We started with the Vespa, Rumbler, Signature Manhattan and a Lemon Gimblet. All were superb but definitely made for sipping. Finished the evening with a single malt which we asked the barman to choose and he didn't disappoint. Great place and we'll be back

My husband and I discovered this place recently and honestly, it feels like one of those amazing hidden spots you almost don’t want to tell people about. The atmosphere, the staff, the whole vibe is absolutely MAGNIFICENT, and the cocktails are genuinely top notch. It’s already becoming our monthly date night spot because now I basically want to work my way through the entire cocktail menu. What I loved most is that besides having a great cocktail menu, they actually take the time to ask what kind of drinks you like and make something tailored to your taste. I’m usually really into slow sipper cocktails, strong, boozy, woody kind of drinks, and every single recommendation they made absolutely nailed it. They totally understood the vibe I was after. The service was also an easy 10/10. Can’t wait to come back.

Had a very awkward and disappointing experience. We may have been a bit loud but we were excited and hadn’t seen a friend who just arrived. One of the bar staff with short hair and tall and a nose ring was very stroppy and aggressive, we all thought what the heck have we struck here! A stark contrast from the other cocktail bars we had been to earlier with excellent service. You may also want to do something about the musty smell of the bar.

Hard to find, dimly lit entrance. Seating for approx 40 people. When we got there there were 4 others in the bar. I moved my chair to be closer to my partner and was promptly told by the woman working behind the bar to move it right back to where it was as someone might want to sit near where I'd moved my chair. There were 2 other customers in the whole place at this stage,over the far side of the room!Great customer service....NOT!!. That set the atmosphere for our experience. She told us we could order an off the menu cocktail, which I did, but was told she wasnt sure she could make it. After consulting the internet, it duly arrived after 20 mins, by which time we needed to be elsewhere. So quickly drank our cocktails and left. The actual bar is nice and cozy with good mood lighting etc. Pity about the woman's frosty behavior which ruined the atmosphere. We left to an empty bar. Hope she felt better for her pedantic behavior. We won't be back !

There was no visible signage for this cocktail bar but I have been told this is one of the finest speakeasy in Wellington hence tried them out. The Interesting concept of Jazz bar and quality of the drinks were meeting expectations but felt the place was too crowded and price of the drinks were little too high.
