Loved seeing the tasting flights on the advent calendar again so off we went while on holiday in Wellington recently. Would be rude not to. Great atmosphere being right amongst the brewery. The only negative is that we couldn’t choose which beers to include in the flight as I didn’t like a couple of the options given. Other than that, a great experience. Thank you. If you are looking for a truly unique craft beer experience in Wellington, the Garage Project Wild Workshop is a must-visit. The first thing you notice is the incredible atmosphere and unique look of the space. It’s an immersive environment where you are literally sitting among rows and stacks of beautifully arranged beer barrels. What makes it so special is that it’s a working space; you can see the brewing and aging process happening right in front of you, which gives it an authentic, industrial-cool vibe. Despite being a workshop, the location is quiet and pleasing, tucked away from the main hustle and bustle. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to chat about what’s currently aging in the wood. It is a one-of-a-kind spot to enjoy a drink—definitely not your average taproom!
Definitely the best brewery/beer tour I have done! So different to everything else out there, and the beers you get to try and also out of this world amazing! If you get the chance and want to try something different, definitely do it...
