Purchased a salmon quiche, but it had a sprinkle of salmon on the top and mostly filled with spinach.. very expensive $12 for spinach pie. Not good.

A lovely cafe at Island Bay parade. So many options on cabinets food to choose from. Being vegetarian I enjoyed the vegetarian pie and it was outstanding with buttery Mushroom feeling. A little caramel ginger slice was divine with perfectly made coffee!

Absolutely love our visits to Coucou in Island Bay. The FOH team are always exceptional, warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. There’s no set menu, but the cabinet food is outstanding. The chicken & feta sandwich and the steak pies are absolute highlights. The food is always fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with real care. Everything we have tried so far is delicious and exceeds expectations. The coffee is always made perfectly, and the matcha is just as good. It's consistent, which is hard to find nowadays! Such a simple concept, done incredibly well. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Coucou (Hi or Hey in French) is located in the Island Bay village. The decor is euro inspired with large tiles on the floor and clean light walls. It only takes a second to realise there is something going on here in terms of the food. The selection for a small suburban cafe is generous and varied. From donuts ( the classic cream jam bun is the most popular), to pies and wraps, to scones and quiche. I usually go for a savoury option like a cheese scone or muffin but was tempted to try the blueberry and cinnamon scone and I wasn’t disappointed. Fresh and packed with blueberries, toasted with butter giving a crisp lightly salty foil to the powdered sugar and berries. Partnered with an americano, I’m happy! ☕️

All round fantastic! Had a a great time at CouCou. They have a huge range of sweet and savoury cabinet foods. Had a vegetarian quiche and it was absolutely divine. So much cheese! And the pastry was just right. We also got a few sweet items to share for the table. Really loved the jelly tip donut, was filled to the brim with creamy chocolate mousse and then dusted with raspberry powder. Staff were very kind and went above and beyond e.g helping us rearrange our overloaded table! See that they do half price baked goods after 3:pm. Highly recommend CouCou 10/10
