I had a frustrating experience dealing with Capital Dental’s Terrace management team. I got a bite splint earlier this year and shortly after wearing it, I experienced bleeding and discomfort in my front teeth, which I had never had before. When I raised this, instead of being heard and supported, the whole process became unnecessarily difficult. At first, I was told that the splint had been made using a year-old scan because I had 'requested' it, which isn’t true. I had asked for the same type of appliance as before, how it’s made is a clinical decision for the dentist. Later on, that explanation changed to say the clinician decided reusing the old scan was appropriate, which didn’t sit right with me. What made it worse was how the complaint was handled. Without examining my teeth, there were suggestions that my symptoms was due to gingivitis, which felt dismissive given the timing. I also tried multiple times to organise an independent review, gave clear availability, and explained that I wasn’t comfortable going back to the original clinician. Despite that, I kept being directed back to the same person or given appointment options that didn’t work, and at one point was told to coordinate between different branches myself. Despite paying $500 for a splint I now can’t use, there was no real effort to meet me halfway or resolve the matter effectively. This experience left me with little confidence in how they handle patient concerns. Based on this, I wouldn’t feel comfortable returning or recommending them.
