We travel with Dogs and a caravan, we always get dog friendly cabins. The cabins are nice, and the dogs love being with us. They even have a Bluebridge Pawsport, which they get a stamp in every time we travel. The crew are always helpful and friendly and the food and coffee is good too....Bluebridge wins everytime for us, wouldn't even bother with the interislander

Had a great experience on the bluebridge ferry in both directions. Loading and unloading onto the ferry is easy with friendly staff to guide you on. Great views during the day and they dim the lights inside the main areas inside at night. During the day though the bar reeks of coffee smell. They have some fun movies on to keep you entertained.

Delayed for days and then hours….. but what an experience…. Seeing how many vehicles and large trucks these guys can fit on a boat was cool…. While we waited to take off a pod of dolphins came thru and it was pretty epic. Food ok comfy seats available… cabins too…. Great viewing areas and staff pretty chill.

We took the 8:15am Bluebridge Ferry service from Wellington to Picton a week ago. As tourists staying in Wellinton itself, it was convenient to get to the Bluebridge ferry terminal which was close to the city center itself (I think the other ferry service operates from a terminal that is further away). We were walk-on passengers i.e. no vehicle so I can't comment too much on the vehicle on-boarding/off-boarding process but it appeared to be orderly. Our check in and the trip was comfortable and smooth. Great views! Good options for food and comfortable chairs. Lots of space on our trip across. The only thing that prevented a 5-star review was the bus connection service to Picton town when we arrived. The bus wasn't fit for purpose in that it was a regular passenger bus and there was no dedicated luggage space. All luggage had to be carried on to the bus and there was no method to secure the bags. Some passengers were struggling to hold-on to their wheeled bags as the bus made the (albeit) short trip into Picton. A 20kg+ runaway bag could have cause some serious injuries. Thankfully that didn't happen but perhaps this needs to be reviewed.

Excellent communication via email and text messages with regards to weather situations and sailing times, and or any unforseen delays. Staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Ample seating. Cafe and dining areas are well presented with good prices. Parking deck staff make car parking very clear and straight forward. I highly recommend Bluebridge to anyone sailing between North and South islands.
