If you enjoyed the backrooms horror movie this is for you. When we first arrived, I called the late check in line and they demanded my full credit card information otherwise I wasn’t allowed to check in. On top of that, I was required to pay a $100 fee if I only told them my last four digits instead of my whole credit card. There are no ventilation from the ground floor up, no windows in your room so it feels like a prison. On the second floor, there is a door that is so rigid that it takes me out every time I try opening it. The whole set up is filthy and creepy and I would not feel safe walking bare foot here.

Stayed here for 2 nights, terribly underwhelmed for the price. The room hadn’t been cleaned since the last person who stayed here as there was crumbs all over the floor, dirty towels, a toenail found in one of the beds, other people’s belongings found under the beds and a knife in the wardrobe(?) shower leaks onto the entire floor because there’s no door, the paint doesn’t match the walls, 2 different curtains in the same room one of which is covered in blue tack. The bathroom door also doesn’t have a lock. Shared kitchen which hasn’t been cleaned in months since there’s mould and dirty dishes everywhere. When we alerted the staff about the knife all they did was put it in the sink, not offer any compensation or apologise for not cleaning the room. I would not recommend.

Place said that it had windows with a nice room. I am in a room with no windows. Paint all over the deesser because they couldn’t be bothered to move that before they painted it I guess. Carpet is all ripped up in multiple places. Lots of paint patches everywhere. Tv is on an angle as well as all of the paintings. The vent in the bathroom doesn’t work. You can’t open the shower in the bathroom if the bathroom door is closed. You have to open the door to be able to open the shower door. The glasses in underneath the sink seem to somehow leak liquid. There is no stove however you do get a public one that everyone shares which is a good thing somehow I guess. There is one sad looking table and 2 sad looking chairs in the kitchen that everyone shares. There is barely any power points near the beds but who needs to charge there phone I guess. The wifi is so slow that when you want to watch something half the time it comes up with a loading symbol because it’s like I have wifi in the middle of the ocean. I can see every single bit of plumbing in this room on the ceiling because they decided to not hide the plumbing in the ceiling bc i don’t know maybe they thought it would look bad and suit the rest of the room.

They immediately asked to see a credit card, otherwise we had to pay a $100 'bond' fee. You couldnt show a DEBIT card, nor could you just tell them the last four numbers of your card you paid for the room with. You had to have a CREDIT card in your hand or you had to pay an unexpected $100 that you may or may not get back. Immediately left. And no refund.

location is perfect just right on cuba st. big idk what pipe/industrial above your bed. noise can be heard from thin wall typical nz.. heard people making love for 2h.. my 2nd time in 5 years.. ithink i forgot what it look like...maybe not for 3rd time.. money wise bcs its cheap..maybe for short trip is good.. and one more.. the mirror in bathroom feels like its doublesided as no gap reflection.. beware girls!!!
