Not very body positive. One of the staff started remarking on my purchase... that not many people could wear that, it doesn't suit most people, and other negative commentary. Made me feel really self-conscious and awkward about my purchase. Won't be going back.
Small and cute op shop. Prices are quite good and the staff are very nice too.
Aunty Dana’s is a tiny, old-school op shop with heaps of character. The space might be small, but it’s packed with cool, quirky finds and some real hidden gems if you take the time to browse. Prices are very reasonable, which is always a win. The staff are super low-key and relaxed, making it a nice, quiet place to have a proper browse without feeling rushed or crowded. It’s a great little stop and a perfect way to round off an op-shopping mission around Newtown. Definitely worth popping in.
My go to op shop for bling-ful shopping. Love chatting to the staff about feminism and trans rights, te Tiriti, oppression , sequins and the treatment of beneficiaries. Kindred spirits flock together. Also if you untangle necklaces for them there's a good chance they'll give you a bit of a discount on a necklace. Gotta love a bit of give and give!
Hands down the best op shop in Wellington. Good quality clothes at affordable prices, and a welcoming place for all genders. I love Aunty Dana's!
