Baguettes as good as, if not better, than you will find in a boulangerie in France. Amazing and utterly delicious

Martinborough Bakery is, without question, an excellent bakery. The bread is phenomenal. The baguettes in particular are so good they make you briefly consider moving to France, or at least buying a second one “for later” (you won’t make it home with it). Crusty, chewy, beautifully baked — genuinely world-class stuff. This is bread that understands its purpose in life. Now… the croissants. How do I put this gently… they are not the same overachievers as the bread. If the baguette is winning gold medals, the croissant has forgotten its sports shoes. Perfectly edible, but lacking the buttery flake and joy one hopes for when committing to laminated pastry. That said, this is still a five-star bakery because when the bread is this good, you forgive the croissants for being… a bit confused about who they are. Come for the baguettes. Stay loyal to the loaves. Politely ignore the croissants

Well! THAT was a rare treat! Stopped by for a baguette ("sorry, that guy got the last one") so left with a brioche suisse. Filled with custard and lines of chocolate, this fresh, soft delicacy certainly pleased. We'll be circling back in 10 minutes to pick up a fresh-from-the-oven baguette... and hopefully nothing more... because I don't think I'd be able to stop. Definitely the spot to come for your handcrafted, bready, gluteny fix 👌 ...just get in early! Update: got our baguette 🤤 It'll be paired with some cherry tomatoes, brie, and layered dip. Lunch achievement unlocked 🥖🍅🧀

Delicious baguette and sourdough, good crust and texture. A great little addition to the Martinborough food scene. So happy we don't have to drive to Clareville or Greytown for good bread when we are here!
