Grocery store on Main Road in Katikati, open seven days a week
I just wanted to leave a positive review! We goto this supermarket regularly and I don't often have great things to say. But today I need to give a shout out to Marionne! She went out of her way to help us and get us something that was not on the shelf. She was so lovely and definitely deserves praise! Thanks again Marionne x
Great parking. Typical woolworths, busy and can run out of things at holiday times.
I had a disappointing experience at self-checkout close to closing time. I understand that staff may be under pressure, and I’ve previously worked in grocery retail myself, so I appreciate how busy closing can be. However, I was spoken to sharply on two occasions — first being told ‘don’t put that in the bag’ when I was actually pointing out that the bag provided was ripped, and then being told to ‘just get out of the way’ while I was already making room for other customers. I am currently recovering from a neurological condition, which can sometimes affect processing speed and sensory tolerance. This was also my first time grocery shopping in nearly a year as I work toward reintegrating into normal daily tasks. While this isn’t visible, it doesn’t make it any less real. You never know what someone may be dealing with privately. A little patience and respectful communication would make a significant difference, especially for customers managing health challenges.
I miss the young checkout operator that had tattoos, think her name was Sam she was fast efficient and was lovely to have a chat with. She treated every customer like a real person and took time with them and not rushing them out the door sad to see she’s not there anymore
Quick stop before heading to Waihi. It’s smaller than most Woolworths I’ve been to, but it has all the essentials you need. Shelves are well stocked too.
