Passing by the town and visiting this museum was a wonderful surprise. Lots to see and interact with, quality exhibit with engaging information, plus very friendly and knowledgeable guides.

Wonderful museum, charming because of its local content. Very professionally displayed with hands on displays. We saw a WW2 exhibit based on 5 local war heros and a fabulous exhibit on traditional carving and carving tools. A gem not to be missed.

Visiting from the UK while driving to our next apartment we stopped by the local shops and this amazing museum. It was amazing to see the gadgets of the past that we take for granted today. The staff are also very knowledgeable regarding the local history. can’t believe it’s all free to see though we left a small donation.

Beautiful little Museum. There's not many things in the Museum but the things they do have is interesting. There was a wall of postcards from the olden days. A timeliness of phones and few other things. It's free entry but donations are welcome. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff.

Free entry but please make a koha so that the facility can keep running. Especially impressed the waka at the entrance. Found my ancestry inside the purakau as well. Learned some cool history and enjoyed the interactive parts of the exhibition. We had fun. The staff were lovely too.
