Lovely staff. Loved the current art exhibit being displayed as well`
😍Cool lil arty town! A must stop n a yarn with friendly locals n a great pie shop I must say... awesome generous of steak/mushrooms pie for our a.m tea 😁
This is more than an information center...it is also Katikati's Arts Junction where you will find the Carlton Gallery. The exhibitions change about every two weeks and the dozen or so I've seen so far have all been excellent! It's worth a regular visit.
Haven't been into the information center itself but the playground/rest area that is part of it is a great place to stop. There is ample parking behind the shops by the museum next door. The playground itself is fairly standard, swings/slides/jungle-gym/etc and there are toilets adjacent in the i-site building. There are all kinds of other unusual things in the area - mosaics in the footpath and picnic table, rocks decorated with pottery shellfish, weird vintage-looking weathervanes and a statue of a man reading the paper with his dog on a park bench. One of the murals the town is famous for is also on the side of the building.
