One of the best vindaloos I've ever had!
Actually probably the best 👌
The new owner came and talked with me about the standards they have set,he stated that all of their meals are cooked fresh, and they only use the more expensive local meat from the katikati butcher!! It was very vibrant full of natural flavor and the meat was of top quality, so tender, im very happy to have a decent Indian restaurant in katikati, and will definitely be going back to try another dish as soon as I can, cheers team 😋

I've just finished our doggie bags and it was even better if it even could be. I had Ruby's Grandma's special sauce curry and a friend the butter chicken. Both were absolutely delicious. Grab yourself a Kingfisher and wait for your take aways or eat in. You won't be disappointed. Yummy!!!

Thank you Indian Grill Katikati for having me and my two boys for dinner tonight, we had a fabulous time! I asked my 4year old what he wanted for dinner and he said butter chicken, he really wanted to go out for dinner -so we did and he felt so special and spoilt. We all ate all our plates it was so delicious! The staff were so kind and accomodating. We will definitely come back. Highly recommend 😃

Girls’ night out and we decided to try Indian Grill at 74 Main Street in Katikati after hearing so many good things—and we were definitely not disappointed.
We ordered the garlic naan bread, vegetarian samosas, and the entrée of grilled chicken tikka, marinated in yoghurt and spices. It was so tender and full of flavour, and the samosa filling had just the right amount of heat. My girlfriend also had the chicken korma, which came with a generous bowl of rice. The naan bread was freshly made, soft, and simply perfect and helped to soak up the yummy spicy sauces.
Everything was absolutely delicious—the side dipping sauces were very tasty, and the spices were a real delight on the palate. Having visited North India, I’ve grown used to truly authentic Indian food, and dining here genuinely made me feel like I was back in India.
It was also so nice to relax with a wine or a bourbon and coke after a busy week, which made the evening even more enjoyable.
The portions were very generous—our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, and we ended up taking home a doggy bag to enjoy later!
The service was excellent, friendly, and welcoming. The takeaway side of the business was also clearly popular, with a steady stream of customers coming through.
We’ll definitely be back, and we’re keen to try their takeaway next time. Thank you for the lovely service and tasty Indian food!
