What can you say about this place other than, phenomenal selection and great, friendly, warm proprietor. We're blessed in KK to have this and Mills Reef

I would be very surprised if there was a better wine shop in all of New Zealand; Finer Wines has an absolutely spectacular depth of wines from all over the world that I truly hope Katikati’s locals appreciate and support. To a wine nerd like me it is basically Disneyland, and I make an effort to visit every time I am passing through. While value is all relative, there are real ‘bargains’ to be had at the sharper end of his range. Based on a Wine-Searcher pricing, many of his finest wines retail at least a 20% discount to UK pricing (possibly more depending on exchange rate at date of visit). 10/10

Has to be one of the widest selection of wines and spirits in the civilised world. The very best selection at great value from a maestro of information. Vast range of magnificent vintage wines and more. Go and be delighted - just to be in a fine wine drinker's heaven.

What a delightful experience! At first we were afraid it wasn't really open due to the many boxes stacked up by the door and windows, but we are so glad we snuck our way in! The owner assured us he was too busy selling wine to get organized. There may not be any browsing at this wine shop, but it's OK. Just have an idea of what you like and a price range, and you will get excellent options. We really enjoyed the experience and the great wines.
