Was there on Tuesday as it normally a great place to go. But we had a group of 11 and it took 11/2 hrs from when the first meal arrived until the last meal arrived to the table. Felt sorry for the waitress as she was apologies each time she delivered. It was a shame as we chose place as it is usually fast and efficient. Will try again as food is good.....

As always the service, food and the atmosphere are excellent! Though it seemed on this visit, they were under staffed, the staff didn't allow you to wait long and got to my order quite smartly! I recommend Debrief for a quick call in on the way somewhere or a business meeting\catch up with friends or family, you will have a great time!

My partner and I went to DeBrief this morning for brunch, they were reasonably busy, so we expected a bit of a wait, but no, they are a well-oiled machine when it comes to speed of service! I ordered an Eggs Bene with Salmon, my partner the Bacon and Eggs on Toast, the presentation of both our meals was absolutely outstanding, with taste to match! I just wish I had taken a pic of our meals for this review. The ambience of the Cafe is lovely, set in beautiful grounds with a wonderful country atmosphere and very efficient/friendly staff. Message to the management: don't change a thing....you have nailed it!!

Highly recommended as a quick, quality stop when travelling Auckland-Tauranga route. Perfect for coffee + a bite without the motorway chaos. If you're passing by, pop in — you won't be disappointed. 5/5 stars from me — solid, unpretentious, and does exactly what a good roadside café should. Excellent customer service!

Had a lovely lunch here with my mum. We ordered a mince and cheese pie and steak, bacon and cheese pie and a bowl of chips. To drink we had the mocha frappe and cookies and cream frappe. Everything was delicious. Food was hot. The pies were full of meat unlike some other places that have more gravy than meat. The cafe has definitely improved with new owners.
