It was my first time visiting Katikati, and I came across this lovely café in a convenient location that seemed to be a favorite among the locals. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying their time here with happy smiles. One thing that really stood out to me was how thoughtful and caring the staff were. They came to the tables to take orders and process payments for elderly customers, which was such a kind and considerate gesture. I ordered the BLAT croissant and an iced vanilla latte, and the croissant was far better than I expected—it was absolutely delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the whole experience left me feeling warm and happy. If you’re visiting Katikati, I highly recommend stopping by Common Ground. You won’t regret it! 👍🫶

Great selection of cabinet food, the owner was lovely and very quick at getting the food and coffee out. Coffee was delicious and there was a great menu to choose from too. Would definitely go back again. 5 stars all round

This was our second visit to Common Ground and it's quickly becoming my favorite spot in Katikati. As someone who really appreciates a good brew, I have to say the coffee here is excellent—consistently smooth and perfectly pulled. You can tell the baristas really care about their craft by the beautiful latte art! We paired our coffees with a savory scone and a cinnamon roll, and both were delicious. I love the vibe here; it's warm, welcoming, and tucked away from the main road so it’s nice and peaceful. Definitely the best place in town for a quality caffeine fix. I’ll be back for a third round soon!

I had a great experience here! I ordered waffles with bacon and banana, along with an omelette filled with mushrooms, cheese, and ham — everything tasted really delicious and well-prepared. The food was honestly so good, and what made it even better was the service. The boss is such a lovely person, very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for tasty food and a warm atmosphere!

Absolutely delicious the Benedict was perfection, crispy potatoes and the sauce was the best. We had a yummy muffin and creamy smoothie. Sarab and Harpreet the owners were so friendly and kind and the chef was impeccable. Love this place for breakfast. 10 stars!
