Katikati Essentials

Katikati Kindergarten is a school in Katikati. We have been part of the Katikati community since 1987, providing early childhood education for children aged 2-6 years old. Our kindergarten is an Enviro-Kindergarten with a Beyond Green-Gold rating. Our indoor areas and large green outdoor spaces offer opportunities for creative and imaginative play. We feature an adobe outdoor play area with a hobbit house and a living roof, alongside organic vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and native plants. Our teachers support children to explore at their own pace within a safe environment. We initiated the Kati KaiWay, a community edible walkway, and incorporate sustainable practices like our garden and worm farm into our program.

Robins Nest is an educational institution in Katikati. We offer care-based learning where children form close relationships with staff and peers. Our small center provides daily nutritional morning tea for the children. We also integrate cultural appreciation and inclusion into our day-to-day activities, including te reo pronunciation. Our team is known for fostering interactions among children of all ages, with no separate rooms for different age groups.
