I was a little concerned going to Verandah this morning, having seen some of the reviews here. Plus, I'm not a fan of clothes shopping in general. I'm a plus-sized tom-boy who lives in jeans, and generally dread going into fancy shops to try on clothes. I had to bite the bullet, because my son's wedding is coming up in 2 and a half months time, so I went into Verandah this morning. The shop assistant, Sonya, was very helpful in selecting appropriate dresses for me to try on, very patient while I tried on many, and gave me the confidence to select the dress and jacket that I will wear to my son's wedding. I'd definitely recommend Verandah as a shop to find lovely clothes for important occasions like weddings. Don't always judge what you see online, when it comes to reviews. Thank you, Sonya! 🥰

Verandah has a lovely range of quality clothing in store. I purchased a gorgeous wool jumper and the most comfy pair of jeans - just in time for Autumn! The assistant was relaxed, friendly, and super helpful.

I can’t understand how this shop stays in business! Reading the other reviews I can at least see there is a theme to their operating style. The staff are rude, unfriendly and give off an air of superiority ….reality check ladies, you work in a dress shop in Greytown not Versace in Milan ☺️

I was shopping for an occasion dress midweek and I had the rudest, service today from this place which also owns the other clothing business across the road, that I’m sorry to say isn’t much better. Check out reviews for both stores. I try to support local but when the mature shop assistant is moving chairs around loudly, then abruptly turns off the music in order to get me out of the door, I have to say that shopping for the same clothing labels online, with existing customer service, looks very attractive. Barely a hello, no attempt to ask if I wanted help and no thanks for coming in either.
