I had a really disappointing experience at this Salvation Army store. One of the staff members was extremely rude and unhelpful, which made what should have been a simple visit feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I understand everyone has bad days, but there’s no excuse for speaking to customers in a dismissive or disrespectful way - especially someone who is trying to make a direct donation. Customer service should be a priority, especially in an organisation that claims to represent community support and care. Sadly, this experience has put me off returning. Better off donating to HUHA and SPCA rather than here.

Unfortunately this op shop has gone down hill since the last brilliant manager left, the shop is now grubby and so messy/unorganised, staff are vocal about being unhappy with the new manager, she is rude to staff and I have witnessed her being rude to customers, real shame.

One of my favorite shops in Carterton - a large and well set out store with lots of stock, and I especially like Linda who works on the counter. She is friendly and a great asset to the store as obviously she has had years of experience - she is quick and efficient on the till.
