Stayed 3 nights in cabin that sleeps 5. Very comfortable beds. Very clean. Lovely. Had everything we needed. Ablution block and kitchen were serviced really well. Spotless. Pool and spa are wonderful and pool is drained each night. On one afternoon however a child crapped in the pool so it was closed for the rest of the afternoon/evening as it had to be emptied again. That was through no fault of the owners...parents should be more respectful of other guests and the inconvenience this causes. Suggestion for the owners is to put a bigger and clearer sign up saying children under two must wear swimming diapers under their togs. Games room was great and also the tramp. Nice to see dogs being walked on lead around the park. Loved our stay and will be back. Thanks.

Been before. Stayed in the Studio Unit, with my wife. Clean and tidy with fresh towels daily made available if needed. A comfortable place to stay with the added bonus of the Hot Pools. The Camp facilities looked first class with BBQ's Pizza oven also available. A pleasant break away in winter!

We just enjoyed Matariki weekend on a powered site. Beautiful location by the harbour, great for kids to bike around, and see what they can find on low tide. The campground owners are lovely, great service. Very clean facilities, well equipped and everything you need. The hot pools are awesome and the kids had a blast! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

We had such a wonderful stay at Athenree Holiday Park, from the moment we arrived, the whole place felt welcoming, peaceful, and beautifully cared for. The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful, creating the kind of relaxed atmosphere that makes a holiday feel effortless. The mineral hot pools were an absolute highlight — warm, soothing, and perfect at the beginning and end of the day. We loved how clean everything was, from the amenities to the communal areas. It’s clear the team takes real pride in the park.

Absolutely beautiful spot. This was the cleanest campsite I have been to! Very friendly staff/owners and they were so helpful in suggesting a huge site to set up our new caravan with enough room for the awning (now we know we don’t need one too big if we park correctly!). Free wifi, coffee cart on site, hot pools plus more! We are heading back again with our friends in 3 weeks!
