The new cultural and educational landmark, "Meiguang Cultural Hub," opened for trial operation today (June 8th), aiming to provide a rich array of lifestyle services and cultural experiences for teachers, parents, students, and the general public in Hong Kong. Meiguang Cultural Hub comprises five floors, covering an area of ​​over 21,000 square feet. The first floor houses the flagship bookstore of "The Commercial Press," the second floor is the children's bookstore "Sun Yat Children's Bookstore," the third floor is the education and training center "Tongxuefang Education Centre," the fourth floor is the "Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers' Teachers' Living Hall" dedicated to serving teacher members, and the fifth floor is the teacher training and exchange center and members' activity space "Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers' Education Training and Exchange Centre."

I'm finding it a little disappointing that there aren't more Cantonese language resources available for early childhood education here. There seems to be a good selection of English materials, which is great. However, it would be fantastic to see a wider variety of resources to support bilingual learning, particularly in Cantonese. Having access to more Cantonese materials would be incredibly helpful for families like mine who are raising children bilingually. Hopefully, this is something that can be considered and expanded upon in the future. Early childhood is such a crucial time for language development, and having diverse resources available would be incredibly beneficial.
