A perfect spot to enjoy the sunset that’s easily accessible by public transportation. The university maintains the area very well, so it’s clean and feels safe for sightseeing. Just be sure to bring insect repellent in spring and summer, as mosquitoes can be quite common in Hong Kong. You can enter without registration, as this area is open to the public. Just make sure NOT to cross into zones marked with warning signs, so you don’t disturb the university’s teaching activities.

perfectly peaceful and quiet campus, with an unobstructed full Seaview of the western part of the Victoria Harbour. lots of trees, birds singing. I'm the only uninvited visitor on the campus, reflecting life in April 2026. amid all the confusion and chaos, one can find peace of mind here. even though not too long but good enough to recharge and move on.

Tons of people come here to photograph the sea view. If you take your picture from the right hand side of the glass railing you can capture the Jubilee Battery as well (pictured).

The University of Chicago, Francis and Rose Yuen Campus Chicago University, HK is an extension of the University of Chicago , Illinois. From this place , the sunset viewing point can be easily approached in matter of seconds. This point at the Western portion of HK facing Lamma Island , Peng Chau and Hei Ling Chau . A great place for watching sunset in the vast openness of the sea. It has this advantage because it is about 45 M above sea level with an unobtrusive view. Worth mentioning is that Hei Ling Chau was the island isolated for treating Leprosy in the 1960s. Many photographers come here for good pictures. It was visited on July-23-2022. The place was revisited on feb 16-2024 with the followings to be added This location is easily accessible from anywhere in HK. Just take a Number 1 bus from happy Valley upper, Blue Pool Road to Felix Villas, Mt Davis.
