Beyond your town

Explore the interest guides

Interest guides gather places around a theme across a whole region. This overview shows examples of guides people can browse. Choose only interests your place actually offers; eligibility depends on the kind of place you run. Accurate photos and a short detail help visitors decide.

Part 2

Aisle · weddings and receptions

Restaurants, wineries, event venues, theaters, museums, hotels and other suitable gathering places can appear in Aisle. If your editor offers Weddings & receptions under What you host, switch it on only if you really host them. Add ceremony or reception details, capacities and photos when available. Not every business type qualifies.

Part 3

The Guest List · private gatherings

Restaurants with private rooms, event venues, hotels, cultural venues and other eligible spaces can appear in The Guest List. Turn on Private events in What you host and supply useful booking information: guest capacity, available spaces, occasions, food and drink, accessibility and starting price or pricing on request. Public event listings are not the point of this guide.

Part 4

Soundcheck · live music

Bars, restaurants, wineries, theaters, music venues, hotels and other eligible hosts can appear in Soundcheck when they genuinely host live music. Turn on Live music where your editor offers it, add a short note about your shows and keep performance events current. Performers and their venues are connected through event listings.

Part 5

Dog-friendly · welcoming dogs

Eligible places include restaurants, cafés, parks, trails, shops and stays. If dogs are welcome, turn on Dog-friendly where available and explain where they are allowed: for example, the patio, grounds or rooms. Confirm restrictions before guests arrive. This interest can also be explored through dog-friendly collections on the map.

Part 6

Other interest guides

Themes such as Wine Trail, Fairways, Chef’s Table, Downbeat and Market Day may use your listing category, services, photos and other verified signals. Not every guide has a What you host switch. Keep your listing type and details accurate so the right guide can find you. If a switch is missing, your kind of listing is not eligible for that host option.

Part 7

Keep your details current

The switches only appear for suitable kinds of places and should reflect what you actually offer. Switching one off removes that host signal, even if it was discovered automatically. Keep capacity, pricing, photos and show dates current.
