About

Domaine de la MEUNERIE is a winery in Trouillas. We produce sincere and authentic wines from our old family mill, which we renovated to establish our farm. Our estate, located in the Aspres region of the Eastern Pyrenees, has 18 hectares entirely converted to organic farming. We offer a range of wines, including white and red varieties like Caruso and Carignan. We also operate the Argenta gîte, nestled among our vineyards, which features a heated pool for guests. Our team is dedicated to the craft of winemaking, with our founder having an atypical career path that led to winemaking after initial work in construction and renovation.

Nine years ago I visited Stephane Battle and his family on a hot summer afternoon. The evening before we had some of his wine during dinner and instantly were sure that we wanted to take some of it back with us to Germany. Communicating was challenging cause my french is below basic, but with the help of Stephane’s wife we weren’t lost in hands-feet-gesture improvisation. Although the marvellous white wine was sold out three cases of red wine (Caruso and a 100% Carignan) ended up in the boot of my car. That’s why we had the chance today to open the second last bottle of Caruso for our dinner. Absolutely fantastic how this wine developed over the years. Right after opening scents of dark berries, pepper and spices, wood and even a bit of tobacco. It only got better over the evening. So don’t miss to stop by when you are around and make sure you have space available to be filled with the fine wines of Domaine de la Meunerie.

We just spent a week at the Argenta gîte on the Domaine de la Meunerie with Stéphane and Fabienne. If we could give it six stars, it would! It's a real gem, a wonderful discovery. Stéphane is a passionate winemaker, and we thoroughly enjoyed tasting his wine and learning about his fascinating story; he can be very proud of how far he's come. The gîte is comfortable, nestled among the vineyards, and tastefully decorated. We had everything we needed, even the Voltaire visit was a delight. We were able to relax in the heated pool after our excursions, which was a real bonus. We will definitely return to Stéphane's for a relaxing break away from the stresses of daily life. Thank you so much, Stéphane and Fabienne; it was a pleasure to meet you, and we hope to see you again soon.

We've been visiting Stéphane for over 10 years. He's a true wine enthusiast, just the way we like them. His wines are sumptuous and crafted under the best conditions. Make an appointment for a tasting; it's well worth it! Fabulous welcome! I have a preference for the Caruso and Réminiscence, but the other wines are worth the effort and the price! Until next time!

We had a wonderful experience visiting this vineyard. The wines were excellent and the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend stopping by for a tasting! Although when you first arrive it doesn't really look like they have a shop where you can taste things - you absolutely can!! Friendliest vinter we met during the day we spent visiting local vineyards.
