About

Camping L'Oasis & California - Yelloh! Village is a campground in Le Barcarès. Our grounds are maintained, and our bathrooms are modern. We have a restaurant and a heated pool for our guests. Our reception staff can assist with information, and supermarkets are a short drive away. We are close to a local market that operates on Sundays.

In my experience, there were good aspects and some bad ones as well. There was a long time until we found the house where we were staying and the routes towards those houses were not so obvious. We received a map which had the way marked "for us", but I guess we needed to fly to reach the house in the way it was marked on the map so we turned around a lot until we found the right house. After we got in the room, we went to eat at their restaurant, where the people were quite nice with us. The food was good and the service was also good, as expected, so we decided that we will probably return to eat there. A couple of days later we went back to have a crêpe, which was stale and there was another waitress, who asked us to pay while we were eating. I found this very rude as we were willing to pay before (or maybe after, since the nice waitress from the day before invited us to a table and asked us to wait for our food). The staff members from the reception were nice and they helped us with any information we were asking for. They also offered us a hairdryer as the ones in the bathrooms were not working and we had good interaction with them. The other thing which was inconvenient was moving to a different house for the last night of our stay, but we knew about it before. What we didn't know about was that the house itself wasn't very clean. We found spiderwebs, there was a very bad smell in the house when we arrived and the dishes were dirty. It was also loud from the adjacent street passing right next to the bedroom and another reason why the service received this rating was a very rude staff member cutting grass right next to our bedroom in the middle of a public holiday day (which woke us up) and the worst part was noticing that grass wasn't even growing there at all... Overall we had a good holiday there, but we went off-season and it felt like we have the "trial version" as some of the things were in the process of being figured out and not really ready to welcome the guests. We enjoyed the calmness and the quietness of the campsite for the first days and I am thinking that I might return in a different period to see how things go.

This is our 5th time visiting this place with our family and friends, and every single time we are more than satisfied. The grounds are incredibly clean and well-maintained, and the bathrooms are modern and spotless. The staff is very friendly. Also, visiting now in May 2026, we’ve noticed some great improvements in the restaurant-you can now enjoy a full, proper dinner there. At night, the area is very peaceful; everyone respects their neighbors' need for rest and quiet. Location-wise, it’s perfect: Lidl, Aldi, and other supermarkets are just a 5-minute drive away. Every Sunday, there’s a local market (Marche) nearby where you can grab delicious food and find interesting items or clothes. I absolutely love it here. Oh, and the best part- the pool is heated!

Nice location and environment -- BUT as other campsites (and in high season the Luna Park) have loud music / sounds / animation even after midnight (in our case until close to 4 a.m. in the morning), which can be heard even inside the mobile homes - a negative aspect on the "location"

My low rating is due to several reasons: 1. The market is very small and offers very few products. 2. After 7 p.m. the atmosphere was no longer family-friendly. Many young people occupied the public bathrooms with loud music, staying there for 2–3 hours, blocking access to showers and toilets. The recreational area was also taken over by the youth, and it stopped being a family- and child-friendly environment until around 10–11 p.m. 3. There is no common space such as a lounge with air conditioning or a proper children’s playroom. 4. Reception service was very poor. They only gave me a photocopy of the map, pointed to the pitch, and I had to figure it out by myself. It took me 20 minutes to find the correct pitch.

Well-maintained campsite, beautiful greenery, modern restaurant and terrace with stage, swimming pool with many slides, friendly staff, nice playground for children. The sanitary building could be cleaner, 1 building is too little and the animation/shows should also be in English.
