Today, Sunday, due to a gas outage, I went back to our local grocery store in Sorede. They had a free-range chicken left for lunch, and they offered to deliver it to my home... incredible kindness, a ray of sunshine on this gray Sunday! Stuffed tomatoes and potatoes in chicken broth... what more could I ask for? Thank you again!
The prices are indeed a bit higher than in supermarkets, and not for everything... but let's not forget that it's a local grocery store with friendly, welcoming people who sell regional products. A real asset for a village like Sorède. Those who are quick to criticize, please move along.
Closed on a Thursday at 5 PM despite being advertised as open. Furthermore, the prices are exorbitant; a bottle of water costs more than an OnlyFans subscription. I strongly advise against going there.
Carole and Tintin are wonderful, incredibly kind; go to their place rather than the big shops. Tourists at Les Chênes Rouges.
