Title: Accessible Parking in Canet-en-Roussillon: Total Disappointment Rating: 1/5 ★☆☆☆☆ As a holder of a CMI-S card (for people with reduced mobility), I am extremely disappointed by the parking policy of the municipality of Canet-en-Roussillon. Having traveled to many regions and countries (Brittany, Southwest France, Alsace, Northern France, Vendée, Paris, as well as Italy, Spain, Scotland, Belgium, Ireland, England, and Morocco), free parking for people with disabilities is the norm everywhere to guarantee fair access for all. In Canet-en-Roussillon, charging for parking for people with reduced mobility sends a very bad message: it gives the impression that accessibility and welcoming people with disabilities are absolutely not a priority for the town hall. This is a regrettable lack of empathy and consideration for a tourist resort. I will not be returning.

Hi everyone, well, my story is even better! A few days ago, I parked at the port, in the parking lot near the aquarium... I paid from 6 PM to 8 PM, returned to my car at 7:57 PM, and found they had the nerve to give me a €16 parking ticket... I'm waiting for the appeal because I absolutely refuse to pay it since it's their mistake 🤨😤... Especially since I put the ticket on my windshield. I don't understand what happened 😵‍💫

Hello, Why put up signs at beach entrances prohibiting smoking and alcohol? They're useless when you see how many people ignore the rules. It would be good to see the municipal police patrol occasionally to penalize this behavior... and let's not even mention the dogs on the beach in the morning—very hygienic for our little ones who make sandcastles.

I've loved Canet for a long time, but what a mistake to make a section of it a pedestrian zone! It's the best way to kill the town! When you approach the port, where the parking lot has been enlarged due to the removal of street parking spaces, vehicles are diverted to this lot. The traffic is horrendous, much worse than before, as is the noise (unfortunately for the residents of this area). Furthermore, the pedestrian zone itself is pathetic; you don't want to go there. It's a bad crowd, you don't feel safe, it's dead, there's no life. To come to a town, you need to be able to park without it being too complicated. Parking should be free so that everyone can easily access the town, especially people just passing through, who now go elsewhere... You are killing Canet...

I don't know where to begin. What shocks me most is people with their dogs who let them relieve themselves on the beach, on the sidewalk, and despite the dog waste collection system, the dogs still end up on the sidewalk. I never see municipal officers, like the local police, enforcing law and order in this city, which has become like the Wild West. Cars and motorcycles speed by at night, even in the pedestrian zone reserved for families. I see cars and motorcycles whizzing by, making a terrible noise. I find it appalling. You look at real estate prices; they've only gone down in the last two years. Owners are practically giving away their apartments. If the city doesn't act quickly, this will soon be a lawless zone. At night, you'd think you were in a zoo. This has to stop.
