The welcome was unfriendly. It didn't make me want to go. I understand that there are rules to be enforced. That's normal. But here, I was turned away immediately because I didn't have a towel. Stop. I just came to ask for information. Then, I was told I was speaking too loudly. Someone was reading. Okay. I asked if I could give away some books. The curt answer: no. Fine. I won't be back. I'd rather take a second-hand book I bought from that nice gentleman on the seafront and read under my parasol. Make people want to read, please!
