A family visiting for a short stay found it impossible to recharge their electric vehicle because all the charging stations were occupied by non-electric vehicles, even those near the police station. Free parking is appreciated in your town, but this lack of respect for residents (all the license plates from the Pyrénées-Orientales department) needs to be addressed.
Banyuls is a beautiful town nestled between the sea and the mountains, a wonderful place to live if it weren't for the incessant noise of motorcycles that seem to take perverse pleasure in accelerating and making an intolerable racket as they drive through. Is noise not part of environmental protection? Apparently not. What a shame!

I can't take him for a walk on the beach because he'll bother you and ruin your vacation... I'm not allowed to rent a house if I have a dog, and I certainly can't take him on public transport. However, I can take him through rubble to find you after an earthquake, through the woods after you get lost in the mountains and have neither a map nor a GPS; through the snow because you've taken an unauthorized detour off-piste; into the water because, despite the red flag, you've gone into the sea and your life is in danger! And finally... He's just a dog, but he'll find you. And he'll save your life.
We came off-season and in the middle of a storm... In short, not ideal for appreciating the village and its daily life. However, we found the village welcoming and the atmosphere friendly. The wines are a pure delight! A few photos taken after the events!
