Le Relais de la Massane is a restaurant in Argelès-sur-Mer. We offer cuisine based on essential, seasonal products, prioritizing short supply chains. Our team serves three-course menus, including dishes like shrimp carpaccio, crab-filled cannelloni, and pavé de loup.
We are a family-run restaurant located in the heart of Argelès-sur-Mer city center, offering a relaxed setting. Our historic building is known to locals as "Le Relais de la Massane," a name we've kept for its authenticity.
We provide a shaded terrace for dining and are accessible to people with reduced mobility. On-site self-service parking is available, and we welcome domestic animals.
At the time of writing, easily the best restaurant in Argelès-sur-mer. A little pricey but you don't mind so much when the quality is this high. Bravo.

super. we loved it. The scallops don't pare well with the puree in our opinion. Everything else was great

We really enjoyed our dinner. We opted for the three-course menu (starter, main, dessert), and the portions were generous—so much so that we thought we might not make it to dessert, but it was far too tempting to resist.
The menu offered just the right number of choices: not overwhelming, but varied enough to suit different tastes. We started with the shrimp carpaccio, where the pairing of shrimp and truffle proved to be an exceptional match. The crab-filled cannelloni was another highlight—creative, fresh, and full of flavor.
For the main course, we had the pavé de loup served with calamari stuffed with vegetables. It was an excellent combination, with a lovely touch of sweetness in the vegetables that gave the dish perfect balance. Dessert was a trio of tartlets with mango, passion fruit, and apricot—a refreshing finale, with bright flavors that played beautifully together.
The only drawback was that, since many guests arrived at the same time, the pace of service occasionally slowed, leading to longer waits between dishes. That said, the staff remained friendly and attentive throughout, which made the experience all the more pleasant.

Awesome. One guest described it as the best meal she has ever had, and she's an 85 yr old foodie! Go, don't dither

Our meal last night was the best we have had for many a year. Philippe Bessière is a wonderful chef, and his wife and family make for an excellent ambiance. My starter of tartellette avec scallops was suberb, and for the plat we both had the stuffed calamari, again magnificent.
And the dessert again, raspberry with biscuits & cream, my wife’s tiramisu, were to die for.
