I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I have to admit I was disappointed! The room was damp with a musty smell, so we aired it out and finally realized it was the air conditioner that was moldy inside, making noise all night, and was right in front of us... The cleanliness was passable but needs improvement. The bathroom was far too small, really tiny. The rest was okay, it's such a shame... we won't be back and we wouldn't recommend it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at the hotel. A very warm welcome and an ideal setting. The breakfast was very generous, offering both sweet and savory options. The room was a real little haven where we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. A real bonus during this beautiful month of June and the heat was the air conditioning in the room and the small balcony. We look forward to returning for a longer stay 😊

We had a very bad experience at le Nid unfortunately. I booked for five nights, but we left after two days (without reimbursement of course). The manager kept pointing at her rules and everything I should have read and kept repeating that this was a 2* hotel, not 4 or 5, just as she does in all her replies to bad reviews, basically not taking responsibility and blaming the customer. The Hotel feels outdated, lamps don't work, it's not very clean, cabinets are broken, old towels etc. For us however, the worst thing was the manager being so non hospitable, she didn't want to help us out, coming to a solution together, instead she kept pointing at the 'rules'. When we arrived after 6 hours in the car, my partner asked to use the bathroom in the room, but she was not allowed to (and there were no other toilets). The owner wanted us to pay the full amount before we could even enter and see our room. She explained with a loud voice and in an agitated manner that she might loose her job and that her salary might be reduced (which is weird considering she’s the owner). She said she had to protect herself, couldn't leave the desk and that some guests just left after seeing the room. Of course this is no way to treat new guests. I am sure she will reply to this post explaining everything from her point of view, but that's not the point of hospitality. In any hotel, the owner should be friendly, hospitable and helpful, no matter how many stars. We’ve stayed in plenty accommodations without stars that were lovely. Also hiding behind being eco-friendly doesn't mean you can't have clean, comfortable towels and bed-linen and a clean room that feels up to date. I would definitely not recommend this hotel. Edit after reaction from Hotel: To mention that we had never heard of a * system in hotels is of course ridiculous. Subsequently, we had of course looked at what we had booked, but the images that can be found on the website are a lot nicer than what the hotel actually looks like and there were no pictures of the actual room to be found. She is right that we should have read some more reviews, because then we would not have booked. We stayed two days, and the room was not cleaned, sheets were not changed and towels were also not changed (we did ask for this). My partner asked to go use the bathroom when we entered the hotel, which she was refused. When we were asked for ID cards we handed them over, we never refused to share those at any point. Judging from all the bad reviews from the last months, we were clearly not the only ones having issues with the Hotel and its management.
