We rented the "Le Carlit" studio at Gîte des Pierres de la Massane, with a view of the mountains from our balcony. Our hosts gave us a very warm welcome. The apartment was very well-equipped and cozy. We spent six peaceful days in an exceptional setting close to all amenities. I highly recommend it.
Stayed here Mar 31–Apr 1. Terrible service. The host's mother was intrusive and touched our food with dirty hands. No music allowed after 7 PM, and the host entered our room without us being there. Avoid this place at all costs!
It was a terrible experience two years ago; they were scammers and dishonest. They won't return your deposit no matter what you do. And on top of that, the electricity bill is always exorbitant. How do they calculate it? We have no idea. This is a gîte to avoid at all costs. Keep your money and stay somewhere else. Holidays are for rest, not daily battles. Avoid at all costs.
Not good enough. The rooms are fine and clean but the furniture is old, things are broken but useable. The bathroom is tiny and narrow. The main problem is that the sure is close to stream and there are animals on the site, ideal place for mosquitos to such your books during a night. Beside, the site is very dusty.
We loved our stay here! The check inn was easy, the newly renovated rooms beautiful and comfortable, there is all you need, the forest down from the Gite just magical - a perfect place to spend an evening chilling or having fun with friends or family. We liked that the entrance to the bike path is just next to the accommodation and it took us 10min with our small kids to reach the beach with the bikes.
