Like everywhere, prices have gone up quite a bit. A chicken breast or joint used to be 5.95€ with as much and as many chips, pasta, rice, vegetables etc as you wanted. Same with the classic burger. But the classic burger is now 8.95€!! Drinks are expensive too. I used to regularly call in to Crescendo sometimes three or four times a week for a cheap meal on the way home from work because it was reasonable grub, I didn't have to shop/cook and it was cheap. But even if you choose the cheapest meal on the menu, if you have can of beer with your meal and a little after dinner coffee you're pushing 15€ now. I will say the meat, whatever you order, is usually pretty good. As is the fish etc. The choice of vegetables leaves a little to be desired. More often than not there are just chips, green beans, rice, pasta and then a "guest" vegetable which might be carrot, aubergine or cabbage dish. Strangely there's rarely basics like potatoes, peas, mushrooms, sweetcorn. I'd like to see more vegetable choice. But If you like chips(French fries) you're in luck. To sum up, not as good value as it used to be.
