On the path leading to the Massane tower, you'll discover this magnificent, well-preserved chapel nestled among the pine trees. However, it's impossible to visit it 😓

We chose the hike to La Chapelle St Laurent starting from Château Valmy, a 7km round trip (not a loop). It's considered easy but requires good shoes and a reasonable level of fitness since it's all uphill. My app told me we climbed the equivalent of 40 flights of stairs, yet it has an elevation gain of 250m. Otherwise, the walk is beautiful and the end is worth it. The chapel, seemingly lost in the middle of nowhere, gives us the feeling of having experienced a little Indiana Jones adventure 😅 After all, I'm just an amateur hiker.

A place steeped in history and easily accessible on foot or by bike. It's well worth the detour to stumble upon the ruins of this chapel in the heart of the forest. Superb.
