This bridge was worth the trip. The park around it was gorgeous. Our dogs loved playing in the stream as well.
We visited the covered bridge in mid-July, just days after heavy rains, and were struck by its breathtaking and serene natural beauty. The plush, deep green grass and the overflowing creek created a peaceful atmosphere. The bridge itself was a stunning testament to the craftsmanship of the past, with its structure held together by large wooden dowels. This detail highlighted the skill and care that went into its construction, adding to the overall charm and allure of the scene.
Show moreBeautiful, peaceful place to picnic or just hang out. There are a number of unobtrusive picnic tables, many of them in the shade. The creek is scenic, with frogs on the bank in summer. The bridge itself is in good repair and has a historic marker. Just be aware, however, that there is nowhere to walk or hike here.
